Registration Category

Payments are accepted by credit card only, in Japanese yen, via the registration system. All fees listed include tax.

The registration fee includes:

Optional Purchase

- To receive separate invoices and receipts for the registration fee and optional purchases, please make individual payments for each.

Banquet - 12,000 JPY per person

Conference dinner tickets are not included in the registration fee. Please purchase the relevant number of tickets separately if you plan to attend.
The banquet has a limited number of seats available. We recommend early registration.

Accompanying Person - 10,000 JPY per person

Accompanying persons are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception and coffee breaks.

Document Issuance for Visa Application - 11,000 JPY

If you need document issuance from the committee for your visa application, please complete the payment for the "Document Issuance for Visa Application" along with the registration fee.

Payment Method

Payment must be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) by credit card.

The following cards can be used in the system.

Notice for Credit Card Payments
- A one-time password will be required; please have your mobile phone registered with your credit card ready.
- Please complete the payment process on a computer, not on a smartphone. (Use the latest version of Chrome.)
- Using a smartphone or a browser other than Chrome may result in authentication failure during credit card payment.
- Please do not click the "Back" or cancel buttons during the credit card payment process.

Invoice and Receipt

You can download your invoice/receipt from "My Page".
You can also edit the name on the invoice or receipt.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations or refunds will not be processed either for payments made more than 180 days or any cancellation requests made after September 1, 2026.
For cancellations, please contact the Secretariat at sces2026@pcojapan.jp.

Young Researchers Grants

Limited financial support in order to promote student/young researcher participation from abroad will be available. For supported participants, registration fees and necessary VISA application fees will be waived.

To be eligible for this program, the individual must:
- Be a student (PhD, master, or bachelor) enrolled in a university program or a postdoc within 3 years after receiving their PhD degree.
- Live out of Japan. 
- Present their own research during the conference.
- Submit a conference proceeding on their research.
- Be able to attend the entire conference.

Applicants are required to submit the following documents by July 15 (Wed.), 2026  to the SCES2026 Secretariat (sces2026@pcojapan.jp):
① General information (name, abstract submission number, date of birth, affiliation).
② A brief letter explaining the need for financial support.
③ A reference letter from advisor, department, or institution that confirms their position, research activities, and financial need.

Visa Documents

- Please visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of JAPAN website to check the visa requirements and application procedures.
- Please complete the payment for the "Document Issuance for Visa Application" along with the registration fee.
- Please note that the organizing committee cannot guarantee the approval of your visa applications.
- We can only accept requests made by July 31 (Fri.), 2026 (JST).
- Application fee: 11,000 JPY

Invitation Letter

- Invitation letters are issued only to delegates who have completed registration and payment.
- The letter will include event dates, organizer details, and confirmation of your registration.
- Document issuance can take up to 7-14 business days.
- Please fill out the form below to request an invitation letter.
