Optional Excursions

Optional excursions will be organized during the symposium. Advance registration is required. Each excursion has a minimum number of participants and a limited capacity. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that each excursion may be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not reached. The schedule and destinations may be subject to minor changes depending on weather, traffic, and operational conditions.

Plan A: Gunkanjima Sunset Cruise Course ▼

Fee: JPY 16,000 per person
Minimum number of participants: 35
Capacity: Approximately 50 participants
This course includes lunch, a one-day tram pass, admission to Glover Garden, admission to the Gunkanjima Digital Museum, and a chartered Gunkanjima sunset cruise.

The Gunkanjima cruise may be cancelled depending on weather or sea conditions. If the cruise is cancelled, Plan A will be replaced by Plan A’, an alternative Nagasaki city sightseeing plan. In that case, the Gunkanjima Digital Museum will not be included, and JPY 10,000 will be refunded to each participant. Details of the refund procedure will be provided separately at a later date.

Plan A’: Alternative City Sightseeing Plan If the Gunkanjima cruise is cancelled, the alternative plan will include lunch, a visit to Glover Garden, and free time in central Nagasaki. Participants may spend the free time around Dejima, the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, Hamamachi, Meganebashi Bridge, or other nearby areas.
Please note that no English-speaking guide will be provided for Plan A’. Participants will enjoy the free time on their own.

Plan B: Unzen Hot Spring Course ▼

Fee: JPY 11,000 per person
Minimum number of participants: 25
Capacity: Approximately 40 participants
This course includes lunch, chartered bus transportation, an English-speaking guide, a visit to the Unzen Jigoku area, and admission to a hot spring facility.
Participants will enjoy the volcanic landscape of Unzen Jigoku and have time to relax at a hot spring facility.

Plan C: Nagasaki Saruku Walking Tour ▼

Fee: JPY 10,000 per person
Minimum number of participants: 10
Capacity: Approximately 50 participants
This course includes lunch, a one-day tram pass, an English-speaking guide, admission to Oura Cathedral, and admission to Glover Garden.
Participants will enjoy a guided walking tour in central Nagasaki, including the historic Minamiyamate area, Oura Cathedral, Glover Garden, Hamamachi, and Meganebashi Bridge.

Payment method

Payment can only be made by credit card within the registration system in JAPANESE YEN.
