Presentation Guidelines
General Instructions
All the presentations must be prepared in English, the official language of the event.
Presenters must complete their registration payment in advance.
For presenters, please check your scheduled presentation date and time on the program page.
Oral Presentation
Presentation Time
・ Speakers are asked to prepare their presentations to match the allocated times. As the schedule of presentation
sessions is tight, all presenters must be ready and on time for their presentations.
Please check the allotted time in the conference program.
Presentation Methods
Instructions for speakers who bring their presentation data on a USB
- Please submit your presentation data to the Data Reception at least 30 minutes before the session starts.
- Oral presentation data must be given in PowerPoint format.
- Prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 or a later version. Presentations in an older version may lead to display errors.
- Test your PowerPoint presentation in advance on a PC other than that used for creating the presentation. Bring the presentation data on a USB.
- Use standard fonts that are available in PowerPoint instead of using special characters. Check whether your presentation is appropriately displayed without errors, such as garbled characters, on any other PC other than yours.
Instructions for speakers who bring their own PC containing their presentation data
- We kindly request that all presenters self-test the connection/presentation setup during the break prior to their session.
- Please note that your computer will be connected to a projector in the conference hall via an HDMI cable. If your computer does not have an HDMI output, please prepare an adaptor yourself.
- Please note that PCs such as Surface or Macintosh often require additional connectors. Also, make sure to bring your PC's AC adapter.
- Disable the screensaver, virus check, and power-saving settings beforehand.
- Additionally, as a backup, save your presentation data on a USB flash drive and bring it with you.
Instructions for speakers who upload the presentation to Dropbox
- The Dropbox URL is to be announced by the Secretariat of Thermo2025. Please stay tuned.
- Prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 or a later version. Presentations in an older version may lead to display errors.
- Test your PowerPoint presentation in advance on a PC other than that used for creating the presentation. Bring the presentation data on a USB as a backup.
- Use standard fonts that are available in PowerPoint instead of using special characters. Check whether your presentation is appropriately displayed without errors, such as garbled characters, on any other PC other than yours.
Poster Presentation
Format of the poster
- The size of the poster panel is 210 cm in height and 90 cm in width. Posters must fit in the poster panel. Pins will be provided at the venue.
- At the top of the poster, include the title, affiliation, and name.
- The poster number (presentation number) will be prepared by the secretariat and affixed to the top left of the poster panel.
- There is no specific official format. Please feel free to use any template for making the poster.
Posting, Presentation, and Removal Times
- Posting: Please confirm your poster number and put up your poster yourself before the posting time.
Pins needed for posting will be provided by the organizers.
- Presentation Time: There will be a free discussion within the 110-minute time frame.
Presenters are asked to be in front of their poster 10 minutes before the scheduled session start time.
- Removal: Posters not removed by the designated removal time will be taken down and discarded by the secretariat. Thank you for your understanding.

Please put your poster up before the Poster Sessions of your presentation. We kindly request that the poster be continuously displayed from 11:00 to 18:00.
*For those registered for the Student Presentation Award, putting up your poster in the morning of the day is strongly recommended. |
