About Our Logo

The PHAM2027 Tokyo logo combines two motifs.

The outer teardrop form symbolizes life itself, representing the natural environment that envelops the Earth and everything living within it. The green and blue gradient bands on either side, which overlap at the base, embody "blending wisdom," the core concept at the heart of the conference theme. When different academic disciplines, cultural backgrounds, and scientific perspectives meet and merge with one another, they give rise to a form of practical wisdom that could not emerge from any one alone.

At the center are two further elements: seigaiha, the traditional wave pattern, and Mt. Fuji. Seigaiha is an auspicious motif representing the endless motion of waves, with each wave overlapping the one before it to generate the next. It reflects how wisdom builds upon wisdom, flowing without end toward solutions. Mt. Fuji symbolizes this gathering itself, the place where knowledge and people from around the world come together to take the next step forward.
Green represents life, the forests, plants, and everything that breathes on Earth, while blue represents water, sky, and the expanse of the planet. Where the two colors intertwine and become one, they capture the conference's pledge: a thriving future in which the Earth and humanity flourish together.
