PHAM 2027 will be held at the Hongo Campus of the University of Tokyo, one of Japan's most prestigious academic institutions. Founded in 1877, the campus is located in the Bunkyo district of central Tokyo and is easily accessible by public transportation.
The specific halls and rooms for each session will be announced closer to the conference. The campus offers modern conference facilities alongside historic architecture, including the iconic Yasuda Auditorium.

Getting to Hongo Campus

From Narita International Airport (NRT)

• Narita Express (N'EX) to Tokyo Station → Marunouchi Line to Hongo-sanchome.
  Approx. 90 min · ¥3,000–4,000
• Limousine Bus to Ueno / Tokyo area.
  Approx. 60–90 min (traffic dependent)

From Haneda Airport (HND)

• Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho → JR to Tokyo → Marunouchi Line to Hongo-sanchome.
  Approx. 50 min · ¥700–1,000
• Keikyu Line to Asakusa / Ueno area.
  Approx. 40 min

Nearest Subway Stations

• Hongo-sanchome: Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line
• Todai-mae: Tokyo Metro Namboku Line (Main Gate)
• Kasuga / Korakuen: Toei Mita / Oedo Lines

Conference hotel blocks with discounted rates for PHAM 2027 participants may be available.

Bunkyo / Hongo area	Walking distance to campus. Quieter residential neighborhood.
Ueno / Akihabara area	15–20 min by train or taxi. Wide selection at various price points.
Marunouchi / Tokyo Station	20–25 min by Metro. Business hotels and luxury options.
Shinjuku / Shibuya area	30–40 min by train. Widest selection of hotels.

Visa ＆ Travel Information

International attendees may require a visa to enter Japan, depending on their nationality and country of residence. We strongly encourage all participants to check their visa requirements early.

Step 1: Check your visa requirements
Visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan or contact your nearest Japanese embassy.

Step 2: Request Visa Documents
Available from the secretariat after registration is confirmed.
Visa application documents will only be issued for requests received by MM. DD, 2027.

Note: Many nationalities can enter Japan visa-free for up to 90 days.
Please verify your specific situation (Countries and Regions for Visa Exemptions).

Step 3: Apply for your visa
Submit well in advance. Allow at least 4–8 weeks for processing.
