Application Guidelines

  1. Symposium (SY) and Workshop (WS) are defined as follows.
SY:This is a session in which several outstanding researchers and experts present highly complete abstracts on topics of importance, summarizing their past achievements. The presence or absence of a general discussion is at the discretion of the organizers. Each symposium lasts 90-120 minutes.
WS:This session is open to abstracts that present novel ideas or new directions on current topics. The presence or absence of a general discussion is at the discretion of the organizers. Each workshop lasts 60-90 minutes.
  2. The organizer (applicant) must be a member of JRRS (payment of annual membership fee until FY2025 is required). If you are in the process to be a member, please state so in the proposal form. The chairperson should also be a member of JRRS in principle; however, if he/she is a member of ACRR from an Asian country, non-member is also acceptable.
  3. Up to two chairpersons are allowed. (Organizer and chairperson may serve concurrently.)
  4. Each person may chair no more than one SY/WS session.
  5. The number of times you can present as a speaker (including poster presentations) throughout the conference is limited to one time in principle (if there is a possibility of multiple presentations due to unavoidable circumstances, please consult the Secretariat in advance).
  6. Membership is not required for speakers. However, if the majority of speakers are non-members, please contact the Secretariat in advance.
  7. In principle, SY and WS presentations must be academic in nature. If a non-member belonging to a company (including a corporation whose purpose of activity is profit-making) wishes to make a presentation, please be sure to consult with the Secretariat before submitting a proposal, as we will confirm that the presentation is of an academic nature (i.e., the content must not lead to corporate advertising or the inducement of corporate profits., etc.).
  8. The organizer is responsible for contacting and coordinating with chairpersons and speakers, and for confirming the content.
  9. The selection of SY and WS will be made by the Program Committee based on the maximum number of SY and WS, and the result will be notified. The decision to accept or reject a topic is at the discretion of the President and the Program Committee. Please note that the reason for acceptance or rejection will not be disclosed.
  10. As a result of the Program Committee's review, changes may be requested, such as changing the division between SY and WS, integrating or combining similar sessions, or adjusting symposium speakers.
  11. In order to promote the internationalization of the society and support the active participation of female and young researchers, priority will be given to the proposals which include many overseas researchers, female researchers, and young researchers (under 40 years old).
  12. Presentation slides and abstracts must be written in English.
  13. This conference will be held on-site. Chairpersons and speakers must be present at the venue.
