Call for Papers

The ILRC is the conference of the International Coordination Group on Laser Atmospheric Studies (ICLAS), a working group of the International Radiation Commission (IRC), International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences (IAMAS). The ILRC32 is hosted by the Laser Radar Society of Japan (LRSJ).
The conference topics will cover all lidar-related topics including

  1. Advances in lidar techniques and methodologies
  2. Space-based lidar applications in Earth science and planetary exploration and studies
  3. Airborne lidar investigations, large scale field experiments
  4. Ground-based lidars and networking
  5. Lidar studies of clouds, aerosols and their interactions
  6. Coherent and incoherent wind lidar technologies and applications
  7. Water vapor, temperature, wind measurements for meteorological studies and applications
  8. Greenhouse and trace gases monitoring
  9. Measurements of troposphere and air pollution
  10. Lidar observations in the stratosphere, mesosphere, and thermosphere
  11. Model validation and data assimilation using lidar
  12. Signal processing and AI/ML techniques for lidar data analysis
  13. Quantum and superconducting technologies for lidar applications
  14. Forest, ocean, land surface, and biological lidar applications
  15. Synergistic use of lidar and other instruments
  16. Other topics in lidar applications

Potential authors are invited to submit 4-page abstracts related to the conference topics.
The papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee according to scientific content, suitability for the Conference, and the presentation form (oral or poster).
Oral presentations will be limited to one per speaker.
Please indicate in the submission form whether oral or poster presentation is preferred and the topic related to the submitted paper.
All papers, in pdf format, must be received by January 5, 2026. Notification of acceptance will be sent to the principal author identified on the submission form by April 6, 2026.
The final version of the paper with the possible corrections must be received by April 30, 2026.

Preparation of manuscripts

All papers should be in English. The paper must be prepared following the format of the template found in the following link.

The number of pages should not exceed 4. The authors must include all text, equations, drawings, figures and references in the 4-page abstracts.
Authors should submit the papers electronically in PDF - portable document format - format only.
The papers should be submitted in the Resistration & Paper Submission page.
